Fly Tipping- Councillor Thornton states that Sevenoaks District Council has a specific fly tipping investigation team. One of only a few in the whole country and they have had some significant successes with prosecutions in the last couple of years.
When residents report fly tipping it is very useful to have a photograph of the offending material and a very precise location, using the “what3words”app.

Residents will have seen that the Union flag on the village green has been flying at half-mast since the death was announced on Friday of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. It will remain so until the morning after the funeral on Saturday 17 April. The Parish Council acknowledges that some residents may wish to pay their individual respects to His Royal Highness. Because of the coronavirus restrictions in place, members of the public are discouraged from leaving floral or other tributes outside royal palaces. Nor will books of condolence be available in public buildings as would normally be the case. However, it is possible to send a message of condolence via the Royal Family’s website - https://www.royal.uk. The website also provides further information on the funeral arrangements.
